How it works
Where the data comes from
We track published manned guarding, key holding, mobile patrols and concierge contracts at councils, NHS trusts, housing associations, universities and central government. The records come from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, going back to 2020. We record each contract's end date, extension options, value and the supplier named at award.
How we estimate the tender date
Buyers usually go back to market some months before a contract ends. We estimate the likely window from the published end date and typical lead times for that type of buyer. We list live tenders separately with their closing dates when available.
What arrives each week
One email covering the regions you choose. Live tenders come first when available, then contracts whose tender window is opening, then the rest of the next 18 months. Each line links to its official notice. Request a security sample.
Values are as published for the whole term. Tender windows are estimates; buyers can extend contracts or re-tender early.

Questions
Where does the data come from?
The UK government's procurement records on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, published under the Open Government Licence. Every contract links to its official notice so you can check it.
How is this different from tender alerts?
Alerts tell you when a tender is published, which usually leaves 30 to 40 days to respond. We also show contracts approaching renewal before that point, so there's time to visit sites, cost TUPE and speak to the buyer.
How accurate are the tender dates?
End dates and values are as published. The likely tender window is our estimate from the end date and typical lead times for that type of buyer, which is why we show a range rather than a single date.
Do you cover SIA licensing or bid writing?
No. We tell you what's coming up and when, plus the published facts. We don't provide SIA licensing advice or write bids.
How do I cancel?
Reply to any briefing or email us. You'll keep receiving briefings until the end of the month you've paid for.
Who runs TenderAhead?
A small independent research service registered in Australia (ABN 27 374 041 336). We're not connected to any buyer or government body. Email hello@tenderahead.co.uk and we'll reply within one working day.
